Protea
This fabulous new print by Lotty B was inspired by Tresco's King Proteas that were introduced to the island back in 1955 by the Dorrien Smith family, who still own and run the island to the present day. Along with many other exotic plants, the Protea thrives in the position and climate enjoyed by the Isles of Scilly...

Why linen?
A field of flax in flower - little water is needed as this is a very resilient crop. As the health food sector now uses flax seeds and oils, there is barely any waste from each plant.
