In support of Movember, Lotty was a fabulous sport and allowed her team to run a competition to name her "moustache" all in order to raise awareness and funds for this important charity.
We wanted to make a fun event and a memorable day so we planned to make mortar boards with the graduates, and never mind about the gown! After all, in this heat they'd be too hot to wear anyway! We decided against the traditional black, and keeping to an "island style" theme we delved into my huge box of old Lotty B silks...
With the initial rush over of trying to get people on or off the island, life has settled into a peaceful pace reminiscent of the early days here in the "low season" which used to stretch from May to December.
A friend on the island forwarded an article to me from Forbes Magazine several weeks ago - "Calling all people who Sew and Make: You can help solve Face Mask Shortage!"
These stunning trees grace Mustique in all their glory during the dry season and the hillsides are dotted with splashes of bright orange......
