We sometimes have enquiries from customers about how to style the garments that they love and to this end we are planning a series of "how to" posts.
We thought we would start with the sarong, which is Lotty’s favourite piece - in her own words: “I really never go anywhere without one… The sarong is simply the most versatile and useful piece of clothing ever and can be made to fit almost every occasion, from acting as a sling for a sprained wrist to becoming a stunning evening dress.”
Whilst we do not have a photograph as the sarong being used as a sling in our library, we have plenty of others which demonstrate the many ways you can wear yours:
In other great news sarongs can be packed in a bag taking up the minimum of room or if you want to take barely any luggage at all, wear your sarong whilst travelling as a scarf or a belt.
A sarong is also perfect when lying on the beach if you don't want to carry a towel about. Ours are a great sized rectangle approx 69''/43'' (175cm/109cm) - bigger than the average beach towel!
We hope that this has been of interest and that you find it useful.
We would love to know how you wear your sarongs - please do send in your photographs for us to add you to our "Pink House People" stories on Instagram.

We find that customers are interested in the story behind and the development of our prints. Lotty uses Mustique as her muse, and here we show how her original pencil sketches translate to our products...
We are great admirers of Lady Anne and her books and were absolutely delighted when she came to see us on Mustique this summer! With International Literacy Day this Friday, we thought reading would be a fun topic ...
