On December 29th 2025 Tiqui organised a truly Mustique-type event. A fashion event showcasing the island's "must have" kaftans.

The event was called: "Kaftans for Art — celebrating creativity with heart" and Tiqui invited celebrated friends, a select group of legendary people "each of whom represents the spirit of the island"  to donate their favourite kaftans or new designs to be auctioned to raise funds for Caribbean Artists.

As the island's designer of silk sarongs and kaftans that many a visitor to Mustique has fallen in love with, Lotty was involved from the get-go!

We thought you'd like to hear a little bit about Tiqui:

Tiqui Demirdjian is a very well renowned collector of Modern and Contemporary Art and Twentieth-Century Design.

About the evening, in Tiqui's own words: "What a magnificent evening it was. Building on the success of the first Mustique Caribbean Contemporary Art Show, the cocktail fashion show and auction fundraiser was a resounding success — made possible by the incredible generosity of everyone involved. A remarkable group of legendary individuals, each embodying the spirit and style of Mustique, donated their most cherished kaftans — some rich with memories of this very island — creating a night filled with beauty, laughter, and genuine community."

Lotty was, of course, delighted to be invited to be part of this wonderful charity event and was thrilled that her specially designed Guanabana kaftan raised $3,000 for the Caribbean Artists.

These images give you a little insight into the creation of Lotty's Kaftan designed and made by Lotty at her island home especially for the event.

Jemima Bunbury took Lotty's creation onto the catwalk at the Cotton House that evening.  Lotty felt it fitting to ask her youngest child to model for her as a true Mustiquean, since she was born on the island, delivered by her father, the island doctor of the last 30+ years.

About the evening:

Lotty says: "Thank you Tiqui for asking me to be a part of your wonderful charity event and congratulations for an amazing kaftan catwalk at the Cotton House, fundraising to promote and support Caribbean Artists. Stunning kaftans, beautiful models, tremendous bidders and, most of all, exceptional fun in true Mustique style."

Tiqui summed it up like this: "An unforgettable celebration of fashion, friendship, and giving back. Not just fashion — wearable art. An extraordinary kaftan show in support of Caribbean creativity. Kaftans for Art truly celebrated style with heart"
