As terrifying events continue to unfold for the citizens of Ukraine, we have made a cash donation to Save the Children's DEC appeal which is supporting children and their families fleeing this dreadful conflict.
This is what Save the Children says:
"Alongside the Disasters Emergency Committee, Save the Children has launched an urgent appeal to help people fleeing conflict in Ukraine. In Ukraine and neighbouring countries, we’re distributing warm clothes and blankets as temperatures plunge below freezing, providing cash and vouchers to help families pay for food, accommodation and medicines and offering vital mental health and education support to children whose lives have been torn apart."
At Pink House, we are working on a longer term fundraising effort which we would love our customers, families and friends to join in with. Lotty has given us some priceless garments from her archive - one off pieces - and we will be back with more news very soon as, whilst we all hope and pray that this particular conflict ends very soon, the number of displaced people is predicted to be as many as 7 million and they will continue to need support long after this war is over.
