Arriving back on-island is always an excitement but I wasn't expecting such a hive of activity after just 2 1/2 weeks away! What industry there is in every direction. This isn't any ordinary build-up to the summer high season, there is good reason for such hustle and bustle, Mustique is celebrating 50 years of the formation of the Mustique Company! - quite a mouthful!
The end of an era for Basil's Bar - but never fear, new plans are coming together and everyone is excited to see what's to come.
I have only seen one seahorse whilst snorkelling on Mustique, just outside Basil's Bar. It was about 1 inch tall and I could so easily have passed it by. It didn't look much like my sketch...
What a special day! Walking the windward coast of the island we came across an enormous leatherback turtle, Polly Angela, laying her eggs.
These stunning hand thrown sea urchins arrived on Mustique all the way from the Cloud Pottery in Scotland. Spot the real urchins! What a relief there were no breakages..
